Loved my stay. Beautiful cabin with lovely surroundings and amenities. The sky at night was beautiful then the sound of the rain on the roof set the mood perfect as I sat on the sofa beside the top of the range hot tub. Will definitely be somewhere I'd like to return to again in the future. Very clear instructions on everything and how it works and then any other questions was answered instantly via message. Very comfy bed, plenty of room, lovely bathroom with a great shower with good power. It was the perfect little get away to disconnect and chill out

Fantastic stay at Davey John's Forge. Gorgeous cottage, really cosy and some lovely unique features, it was easy to tell that the place was renovated by people who really cared about the end result.. Shane was super responsive as a host, sent really clear instructions for everything and was a massive help when we left a bag behind!! Would definitely recommend to friends and family and we will hopefully stay again next time we're in Donegal.

I thought the locstion was good but didnt match my expectations wifi did not work the cups had chips in them needs attention. Shower curtain was moulded needs attention. Not enough pillows on the bed in the downstairs bedroom. Hottub water needed changing. Sorry for the picky review but its disappointing to find these issues after we have paid good money

The cabin was wonderful. Very comfortable and a great place to come back to after a day exploring beautiful Donegal. Shane was great at communicating and everything worked like clockwork. Would definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic stay in the cottage and would definitely stay again. The cottage is cosy, clean, warm and has really cute and unique details everywhere! the hot tub and the cinema screen were a great addition too. Shane was super responsive and helpful before, during and after our stay!

Stayed here for a long weekend with my husband, toddler and in laws. Cottage is brilliant location, clean and good amenities. Loved the Nespresso coffee machine as we have one at home too. Jacuzzi was such a bonus and the projector screen was also a favourite all round. Heating system was easy to use and cottage was also warm and cosy. Hot water is instant once it’s turned on which is such an essential after a day at the beach! Shane was so responsive for any questions I had throughout the stay. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin in a peaceful location. The cabin is decked out with all you need for a mini break and very close to downings, fanad peninsula. Our dogs and baby loved it too! Shane was very nice to deal with and very responsive to our queries. Many thanks !

Super Fast & Free WiFi

With Fibre to the home we have some of the fastest internet speeds in Ireland. Last time I checked it was 465 mbps!

Free Parking

There's plenty of parking at Davey John's. Cabin users can park at the top of drive with Cottage guests outside the door.

Bedroom Comforts

We have a King Size bed in the Cabin with a mattress that's 'Hotel Quality'. Fresh linen and towels are provided.

Did we mention the Hot Tub?

Our Hot Tub comes from Softub. The maket leaders in Canada and has to be experienced to be believed. 

Cabin Entertainment

The 42" TV is already connected to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus. The RTE player is availabel too. There's a bluetooth speaker available too if you'd prefer to chill to music.

Pets Welcome

As Dog lovers ourselves, pets are very welcome in the Cabin. We have a dog bed available and a cage if you need to pop out on your own.

Computer Station

iI you need somewhere to work there's a dedicated work station in the Cabin. Just pop up the table and you'll have access to plenty of power sockets and internet access.

Cycling, Golf and Water Sports

We have plenty of bike storage on site along with a set of Golf clubs and a Kayak if you're feeling adventurous.

Horse Riding

We'e spoiled with two excellent riding schools within a 10 minute drive of Davey John's. Carrigart Riding School and Ashfield Riding School are both great!

Cancellation Policy

Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.
