Dogs welcome. Properly.
All three stays take dogs. Each cabin has its own enclosed garden for off-lead play, there’s a wash-down hose for after the beach, and three blue-flag beaches with dog-friendly stretches are within twenty minutes.
Not just ‘dogs allowed.’ Set up for them.
All three stays (the cottage and both cabins) welcome dogs, and they’re genuinely set up for it rather than tolerating it. Each cabin has its own enclosed garden, so your dog can be off-lead without another guest’s dog appearing. The cottage has a big garden front and back; we’re finishing the fencing there, so for now keep dogs supervised and on the lead, especially near the road. There’s a hose by the back for the inevitable wash-down after the beach.
And the beaches are the point. Three blue-flag beaches with dog-friendly stretches are within twenty minutes, plus Tramore, a wide sandy strand where dogs are properly welcome. Dogs have stayed here happily for years; yours will be fine.
Made for muddy paws.
What ‘dog-friendly’ actually means here.
Off-lead, safely
Each cabin has its own enclosed garden, so your dog can be off the lead without meeting a stranger’s dog rounding the corner. We’re finishing the fencing at the cottage; for now keep dogs on the lead there.
A hose by the back
For after the beach, before they’re back on the good rugs. Old towels provided; the good ones stay in the cupboard.
Three within twenty minutes
Tra Beg at Downings, plus the dog-friendly stretches, and Tramore, a wide sandy strand where the dog can run.
