House rules

Last updated May 2026

You’ll be staying in someone’s home, so please treat it with care and respect. A few things to know.

Checking in and out

  • Check-in after 3 PM
  • Check-out before 10 AM
  • Self check-in with a lockbox; code sent ahead of your stay

Capacity

  • The cabins each sleep 2
  • The cottage sleeps 6

Please don’t exceed the booked capacity without speaking to us first.

During your stay

  • No smoking inside any of the stays
  • Pets are very welcome (and so are assistance animals)
  • No parties or events without prior agreement. We’re happy to make space for gatherings where we can, but other guests are usually on the property and anything that would disturb them needs a conversation first, so please flag any plans at the time of booking.

A few small things we’d appreciate

We’re proud of these places and do our best to keep them in great shape for everyone who stays. With your help, they stay that way.

  • If you smoke outside, please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly.
  • Please don’t sit or stand on the hot tub covers. They feel solid, but they aren’t built to take a person’s weight: the core is just insulating board, and it will crack underneath you. A replacement is over €500, so please lift the cover off and set it aside before getting in, then pop it back on afterwards to keep the heat in and the water clean. The straps can be a little delicate, so handle them gently.
  • Pets are very welcome; we just ask that you clean up after them. Poo bags are easiest, bins are nearby.

Before you leave

  • Gather used towels in one place
  • Empty the bins
  • Return keys to the lockbox

A couple of departure asks

  • If you have glass bottles to dispose of, please leave them in a box or bag just inside the front door of the cottage.
  • Please check the hot tub cover is on properly, with the flaps folded down all the way around.
  • At the cottage only: please check the outside light above the back door is turned off.

Thank you for helping us keep the place lovely for everyone who stays.
