The jewel in the crown is the private hot tub that sits under shelter on the veranda awaiting your arrival.

A fabulous weekend in a beautiful home. Hot tub and sauna were gorgeous - view is stunning. The home was spotless and whilst dog friendly you’d never know there had been dogs staying! Only issue was no WiFi until our second night when someone came to fix it.

This is our second time visiting and it has become one of our fave places in Donegal to come and bring our dogs!
It's modern, clean, has everything you need (including a hot tub with a fab view), and an attentive and efficient host.
Definitely highly recommend and have done to lots of friends of my own already.

We had a lovely couple of days here with our 2 daughters. The house was cosy and felt really homely. Close to several beaches and attractions to visit. Our kids especially loved the projector for movie night. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Cosy Cabin with all the amenities you could think of. Perfect for a countryside escape and nice outside BBQ. We thoroughly enjoyed the home sauna and jacuzzi! Definitely a place we would come back to

Tucked away in the countryside with great views of the Lough. Hot tub and sauna were a treat! Brilliant instructions given from host before arrival. Loved the in house cinema for movie night! Would highly recommend.

We recently stayed in Davey Johns Forge and honestly we couldn't have picked a better place. The cottage is gorgeous, so homely and welcoming. It is pet friendly and our two dogs loved it. The location is ideal to explore the many beaches and attractions along the the coast of Donegal.
Of course the biggest highlight was definitely the hot tub and sauna. They were clean, well maintained and made the whole trip feel like a proper luxury break.
The videos provided on the website were very helpful for using the hot tub, sauna and projector.
Overall a lovely private spot, in a great location with fantastic amenities.
We highly recommend Davey Johns Forge!

Made good use of the hot tub and new sauna. A lovely addition. Very comfy bed. Quiet location with cracking views. Easy to find. Pet friendly which was great for us. On site parking. Everything that you would need for a break away. A very helpful and hands on host.

This is the perfect place for a quiet retreat, surrounded by beautiful scenery and right around the corner from the wild Atlantic way. The hot tub and the Suana is are set up and ready upon arrival and so easy to use. It is pet friendly too so the perfect little staycation location

Super Fast & Free WiFi

With Fibre to the home we have some of the fastest internet speeds in Ireland. Last time I checked it was 465 mbps!

Free Parking

There's plenty of parking at Davey John's. Cabin users can park at the top of drive with Cottage guests outside the door.

Bedroom Comforts

We have a King Size bed in the Cabin with a mattress that's 'Hotel Quality'. Fresh linen and towels are provided.

Did we mention the Hot Tub?

Our Hot Tub comes from Softub. The maket leaders in Canada and has to be experienced to be believed. 

Cabin Entertainment

The 42" TV is already connected to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus. The RTE player is availabel too. There's a bluetooth speaker available too if you'd prefer to chill to music.

Pets Welcome

As Dog lovers ourselves, pets are very welcome in the Cabin. We have a dog bed available and a cage if you need to pop out on your own.

Computer Station

iI you need somewhere to work there's a dedicated work station in the Cabin. Just pop up the table and you'll have access to plenty of power sockets and internet access.

Cycling, Golf and Water Sports

We have plenty of bike storage on site along with a set of Golf clubs and a Kayak if you're feeling adventurous.

Horse Riding

We'e spoiled with two excellent riding schools within a 10 minute drive of Davey John's. Carrigart Riding School and Ashfield Riding School are both great!

Cancellation Policy

Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.
