Thank you Shane for being a responsive and communicative host with detailed instructional videos on how to use everything. Beautiful location and cabin for a relaxing break away, although maybe a little too far away from other local amenities for us. The hot tub was fantastic and hot water available at all times. Thank you also so much for making it possible for us to bring along our furry friends, very much appreciated 🐾

10/10 weekend away with our furry friend , lovely cabin looked exactly like the pictures. Extremely clean, cosy and intimate. Shane was a great host, extremely responsive. Check in was very straight forward. Would go back in a heart beat!

We had an amazing stay in cabin 1. Beautiful cabin with a lovely view - very warm and clean, the hot tub was really relaxing. Overall it had a really cozy feel and was nice location to enjoy a quiet weekend. Shane is a great host, very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend!

I recently stayed at Davey John's Forge cottage and cabins and I have to say this place is amazing 😍 the place to go for absolute serenity. Quiet location with a great view of Mulroy Bay. Sitting out in the hot tub with the little fairy lights just as dark starts to fall 🍁 absolute bliss!! The cabin is set up to a tee! Has everything you need at hand! The bed, best nights sleep I've had in a long time!! Location is great with a short drive to Downings and Letterkenny.. I cannot recommend this place enough.. also Shane the host is very helpful and professional. Explains everything you need to know before arriving.. so if you want a getaway for total relaxation this is the place for you.. you won't regret it, I know I don't!!

We absolutely love Davey Johns Forge. We usually stay in Cabin 2, we have been 4 times now and every time is fab! Shane is so attentive and is there to answer any questions. The place is always lovely and clean and the hot tub too. We had asked for a later checkout and they moved things around in order to accommodate us. We will be coming here for a long, long time! Big fans.

Beautiful location and stunning views. Shane is a brilliant, friendly host and is full of recommendations. Everything you need is readily available. One of our guests has mobility issues and we were nervous about the stay but need not have been. Can not wait to book our next stay

Super Fast & Free WiFi

With Fibre to the home we have some of the fastest internet speeds in Ireland. Last time I checked it was 465 mbps!

Free Parking

There's plenty of parking at Davey John's. Cabin users can park at the top of drive with Cottage guests outside the door.

Bedroom Comforts

We have a King Size bed in the Cabin with a mattress that's 'Hotel Quality'. Fresh linen and towels are provided.

Did we mention the Hot Tub?

Our Hot Tub comes from Softub. The maket leaders in Canada and has to be experienced to be believed. 

Cabin Entertainment

The 42" TV is already connected to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus. The RTE player is availabel too. There's a bluetooth speaker available too if you'd prefer to chill to music.

Pets Welcome

As Dog lovers ourselves, pets are very welcome in the Cabin. We have a dog bed available and a cage if you need to pop out on your own.

Computer Station

iI you need somewhere to work there's a dedicated work station in the Cabin. Just pop up the table and you'll have access to plenty of power sockets and internet access.

Cycling, Golf and Water Sports

We have plenty of bike storage on site along with a set of Golf clubs and a Kayak if you're feeling adventurous.

Horse Riding

We'e spoiled with two excellent riding schools within a 10 minute drive of Davey John's. Carrigart Riding School and Ashfield Riding School are both great!

Cancellation Policy

Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.
