My partner and I had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Davey Johns Forge this weekend. The cabin was spotless and beautifully decorated, in a quiet and peaceful location, which was exactly what we were looking for. The hot tub made it even more relaxing! Shane was a fantastic host and very responsive to any queries. Thank you for a lovely stay ☺️

Beautiful cabin and scenery. We really enjoyed our stay and would 100 percent return and recommend to anyone. The hottub was lovely and over looking the water. The cabin was spotless and well kitted out with amenities. Worth the money :)!

The Cottage was beautiful, peaceful and everything as described! The host was extremely responsive and helpful in every way. I highly recommend staying here.

The only thing I would suggest if you are planning a stay is to pre plan taxis, if you don’t drive or you’re planning on drinking alcohol it may be tricky to get a taxi as me and my partner discovered.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was in a beautiful area and lovely and peaceful! Gorgeous cabin and the hot tub was amazing! We were so relaxed, and the amenities were great we loved the Bluetooth speaker listening to music relaxing in the tub! Lovely and clean and very cozy! Great communication with the host also!! Definitely recommend 😍

Davey Johns is an excellent stay! It was spotless, well decorated, and extremely comfortable. It’s privately situated with a view of the lake, making an evening soak in the hot tub a very nice experience. There are plenty of viewpoints and gorgeous coastline within short driving distance of the cabin.

Our stay here was great, the cabin was very easy to find and seamless check in, the hot tub was already on and ready to go and easy to use. The cabin itself was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Definitely recommend!

What can I say we absolutely loved it, we met Shane on arrival and he was so kind and we stayed during storm eowyn and had no power (no one’s fault obviously) but thank god we did because we were actually able to make lots of tea as we wouldn’t of been able to from home, he even gave an extra night free of charge, we absolutely loved it, and the hot tub was absolutely amazing, it’s honestly such a nice quiet getaway, can’t wait to stay again, many thanks to Shane, Kate and ray for having us.

Really enjoy our couple of days away in Cabin! Really clean, comfortable and cozy!! So close to Carrigart town as well as The Wild Atlantic Drive. Such unreal beaches, viewpoints and seafood nearby😍😍

This place is an absolute gem. The cabin is modern and well-designed. The hot tub is lovely. The hosts were extremely helpful. There was actually a power cut in the local area when we were there and Shane went above and beyond to make sure we were okay.

Already can't wait to go back!

We had a lovely few days in the cottage. The location is ideal, close to the sea and Glenveigh National Park. The hot tub is very enjoyable and easy to use and the fire place was a gorgeous treat. The king bedroom was lovely and cosy. The kitchen had all amenities including a full range cooker. There were a few stains in the downstairs bunkbed room but that's to be expected when pets are allowed and it was worth it to be able to have our own furry friend with us! We also loved the projector for watching movies.

We stayed here for two nights over new years, we had a lovely time from start to finish. Great communication from Shane, the videos were very helpful when checking in. The cabin was spotless, lovely peaceful place to relax and unwind, The hot tub is a bonus! Highly recommend.

Super Fast & Free WiFi

With Fibre to the home we have some of the fastest internet speeds in Ireland. Last time I checked it was 465 mbps!

Free Parking

There's plenty of parking at Davey John's. Cabin users can park at the top of drive with Cottage guests outside the door.

Bedroom Comforts

We have a King Size bed in the Cabin with a mattress that's 'Hotel Quality'. Fresh linen and towels are provided.

Did we mention the Hot Tub?

Our Hot Tub comes from Softub. The maket leaders in Canada and has to be experienced to be believed. 

Cabin Entertainment

The 42" TV is already connected to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus. The RTE player is availabel too. There's a bluetooth speaker available too if you'd prefer to chill to music.

Pets Welcome

As Dog lovers ourselves, pets are very welcome in the Cabin. We have a dog bed available and a cage if you need to pop out on your own.

Computer Station

iI you need somewhere to work there's a dedicated work station in the Cabin. Just pop up the table and you'll have access to plenty of power sockets and internet access.

Cycling, Golf and Water Sports

We have plenty of bike storage on site along with a set of Golf clubs and a Kayak if you're feeling adventurous.

Horse Riding

We'e spoiled with two excellent riding schools within a 10 minute drive of Davey John's. Carrigart Riding School and Ashfield Riding School are both great!

Cancellation Policy

Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.
