Cosy Cabin with all the amenities you could think of. Perfect for a countryside escape and nice outside BBQ. We thoroughly enjoyed the home sauna and jacuzzi! Definitely a place we would come back to

We recently stayed in Davey Johns Forge and honestly we couldn't have picked a better place. The cottage is gorgeous, so homely and welcoming. It is pet friendly and our two dogs loved it. The location is ideal to explore the many beaches and attractions along the the coast of Donegal.
Of course the biggest highlight was definitely the hot tub and sauna. They were clean, well maintained and made the whole trip feel like a proper luxury break.
The videos provided on the website were very helpful for using the hot tub, sauna and projector.
Overall a lovely private spot, in a great location with fantastic amenities.

We absolutely loved staying here and would totally stay again. The hot tub, the sauna, and the property itself were fabulous, and the location and scenery were terrific. 10/10 would recommend.

Made good use of the hot tub and new sauna. A lovely addition. Very comfy bed. Quiet location with cracking views. Easy to find. Pet friendly which was great for us. On site parking. Everything that you would need for a break away. A very helpful and hands on host.

This is the perfect place for a quiet retreat, surrounded by beautiful scenery and right around the corner from the wild Atlantic way. The hot tub and the Suana is are set up and ready upon arrival and so easy to use. It is pet friendly too so the perfect little staycation location

Cabins are lovely and the sauna is great. They provided a lovely big fluffy robe to wear while wandering between the sauna and the cabin which felt very fancy.

We loved our stay for my dad’s 70th, the hot tub, sauna and cinema screen just made it extra special. The area is absolutely gorgeous with a short drive to surrounding villages. The host was so helpful, instructions were clear and detailed. He went out of his way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The cottage is just like the photos so we were not disappointed at all. Would definitely recommend ❤️

Really lovely spot— the cabins are cosy and the grounds of the property are very picturesque. The on-site sauna was fantastic, and having a hot tub right outside was luxury. Really enjoyed our time there, and wish we had booked a couple more nights.

Overall fabulous stay, host very response and lovely to get away with my dog. Stunning local beaches and a must visit is the olde Glen restaurant and bar. Loved it and definitely will be back!

We had an amazing stay! The place is very dog-friendly! The hot tub and sauna were both 10/10! The place was spotless, the amenities inside the cottage were endless (air fryer, multiple pots and pans, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, oven, everything you can think of)!! The bed was extremely comfortable, I think we had the best sleep of our lives! Shane was extremely helpful, replying very quickly to any queries we had! His videos on the website were extremely helpful and informative, especially since it was the first time we came here. I cannot recommend this place enough! He also had posted on his website places to eat nearby and each place exceeded our expectations! We had a magical stay and cannot wait to go back! Thank you for such an amazing experience!

It was a great place to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. With clear instructions for everything that was available. Would definitely recommend to friends and come back at some point!

We’ve just got back from our stay in Davy Johns and we could not recommend it enough! The cosy cabin felt like a home away from home and we felt so welcome. We were delighted to be able to bring our dog with us too 🙂 The service was great and our host Shane was quick to respond any time we had a question (which wasn’t often because everything was made so easy with instructions etc!). I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone looking to escape and switch off for a little while 🙂

Beautiful scenery and what a jacuzzi - even in the rain the jacuzzi is hot and ready to go at all times!!!!

We had the loveliest weekend staying here. We were given detailed information on how to check in/use the facilities in advance. The cottage itself was beautiful, the hot tub with the views of the water was a highlight. I would definitely recommend and hope to get back soon.

Stayed for a 2 night weekend stay with a group of 6 adults & 1 pooch.
A Lovely fully equipped cottage.
Excellent instructions from the owner on how to use the facilities.
But kitchen table only had 4 chairs, we had to take in the 2 outside garden chairs to fit the 6 of us.
Not enough seating outside for 6 adults, or a table large enough, we borrowed the couch from the sauna area in order to sit & socialise at the BBQ, Hot Tub, as this is the big attraction of the cottage, with the Beautiful Sea View from Hot Tub, BBQ area.
Access to the Bay, is just that access, no beach, but lots of Beautiful Beaches close by within a short driving distance.

Cottage states that it has 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 comfortably, but a set of Bunk Beds in a single room is definitely for children & not 2 grown adults, no wardrobe & this was a disappointment & it was a connecting room through the ground floor 1st bedroom, perfect as a children's room.

2 large bedroom's were very comfortable, lovely linen, plenty of towels, & robes. Upstairs bedroom has no mirror, it would be handy to have 1.

Our host very kindly extended our checkout to 11am, but at 9am the gardeners arrived, with strimmers, lawnmower, blower & herbicide spraying, so we were not able to enjoy our last morning breakfast in the outside area or have the door open, because of noise & gardeners in this area and it was a beautiful blue sky morning.
We were quite concerned with drift from the spraying of herbicide right outside back area on gravel of BBQ area, it was breezy, especially for the dog.
Maybe the gardeners could arrive after guests have checked out?

Overall a lovely Bijou Cottage, but needs 3 double separate bedroons, to accommodate 6 adults.

Had a great stay here with my partner - unreal location, great amenities and spotless inside. Perfect for a peaceful getaway or an adventure in North Donegal. The hot tub and sauna were great we don’t have a bad word to say about the place, worth a visit and would definitely go back 👍
